How can you tell which parent is lying to you?

Even at 18 they shouldn't be doing this to you. What happened between them should stay between them. Tell them you don't want to know about the past cos, at 18, you are anticipating the (YOUR) future which won't be like theirs! I wouldn't get involved or you will end up confused and unhappy.
