Is it unusual for goldfish to kill each other?

4 goldfish cant live in 10 gallons 4 2 year old goldfish should be in at least 100 gallons plus a single baby goldfish needs 20 gallons your fish were fighting for territory in a small tank and poor water quality as well would of killed them.
