Should parents judge their kids?

Ever since i was little i felt like my parents were judging me. This led to me hiding my personality and i feel like it has contributed to my social anxiety. They judge other people so i think they judge me also. Being a teenager i dont like telling them ehat i like because i am afraid they will disagree with it and dislike me more. Or they will get mad at me. Is thias normal? Thanks
