Will not running for 7-8 days make me out of shape?
Im a cross country runner and i have been running about 30 miles ,give or take a few, a week for about 4-5 months now maybe more. Im going on a canoeing trip for 7-8 days and i wont be able to run either of those days because we will be canoeing all day. I plan to try to run at least a little bit even if it means running laps around the campsite for at least 30mins but im afraid we wont have time. I will be in an unknown place so i wont be able to run any trails(expecially with bears and such). I will also try to do some pilates and other cardio based moves. I love runnning and i have worked so hard to get where i am at that i dont want it to all go to waste in one week. So would not running for that long make me out of shape? will i drastically loose mile timing? Thanks in advanced!
